I'm Mike, and I started Plain AML to take the monthly AML/CTF routine off small practices. By day I lead AI innovation at a global technology consultancy, where I work on digital innovation and automation, mostly with companies in highly regulated industries. That work taught me how to turn a fiddly, repeated process into one that runs the same way every month, and how to keep the evidence that shows it did.

I run Plain AML from Wyoming on the Central Coast. A second person independently checks a sample of each month's work, so it never rests on one pair of eyes.

Plain AML gives general information and prepares your records. It isn't legal advice.

How many firms we take on

We onboard no more than two new firms a month. That keeps each setup properly done, and means the person you speak to is the person doing the work.

What we don't do

• We don't give legal advice.
• We don't act as your compliance officer.
• We don't submit reports to AUSTRAC for you. We draft them. You decide and submit.
• We don't carry out your independent evaluation.
